More info: Amerie is half-Korean and half-African-American. Her father was in the military and she grew-up on various military bases including ones in Alaska and Germany, before the family settled in America.

News: There hasn't much news on Amerie lately. I don't think her album Because I Love It was released properly in the US but according to Wikipedia.org, it had a limited release in American Walmart shops. Amerie was featured on rapper Chingy's single Fly Like Me in December 2007. Wikipedia also says that Because I Love It will be released in spring 2008 but there has been nothing official about it. I'll update this when I have more info. :)
